what is the manifaezto? 🎀

some years ago, someone asked me what faezi meant or who faezi is. it gave me pause - i certainly felt that faezi was an extension of mySelf embodied on the world wide web, consumable and vulnerable. upon further exploration, i realized that others certainly could call in the magic of faezi for themselves. i don't see why it would hold itself back from someone who is genuinely seeking out the faezi way(zi).

faezi has ended up becoming a pseudo-lifestyle for me, as i investigate things like "what would faezi do?" and "am i aligning with faezi's magic today?" on a consistent basis. as the years have gone on and faezi‘s magic has layered and thickened with time, i recognized a loose set of guidelines to welcome the magic of faezi into your heart. thus, a manifaezto.

✨ if you wish to dance in the light and magic of faezi, you must promise yourself to:

i. embrace and chase whimsy 🦄

whimsicality is the feeling one gets when riding on a carousel - youthful, sweethearted, weightless, the lightest breeze brushing against skin. to be whimsical is to be in flow with the inherent silliness of the universe. it’s to let laughter lilt your spirits and tickle your soul. dance and spin in grocery stores. blow kisses to the moon. mismatch your clothes for fun. whisper spells into your tea. bravely give yourself haircuts. believe in fae, gnomes, dragons. invite these creatures over for breakfast. embody the fool, one foot hovering over the abyss, yet still jovial and buoyant. whimsy is a natural self-expression that is rooted in devouring the lightheartedness and subtle magic of every moment, pit and all. we take our silliness very seriously here!

ii. exercise your creative magicz 🎨

how do you let your soul sing? to be creative is to be young-hearted, articulating your Heart's unique and intricate melody and giving it a voice. learn your inner-language, and bring it into the mundane. there are many ways to be an artist. to create is to say "yes" to life, freedom from expectation, staying curious during surprise experiences. creation is a playground, swirly slides and squeaky swings, making monkey bars out of tree branches. chase inspiration when it pops up, and free yourself on your canvas of choice. devote yourself to freeing and raising your authentic voice; we all have one, and faezi wants to hear yours!

iii. prioritize radical compassion & liberation 🌹

in a world gone mad, we are being called to lift each other up and create communities based upon acceptance, accountability, and action. we reject and renounce all forms of racism, ableism, queerphobia, classism, anti-fatness, xenophobia, anti-blackness, white-washing, cultural appropriation, and all forms of othering that is ingrained in our communities. the faezi way seeks to create a dais that centers itself in liberation, equity, radical self-love and raising up those with marginalized voices. whether we're in the front lines fighting for our rights and freedom, or hanging back to heal and soothe those injured in this ongoing battle for justice (including ourselves), we are devoted to raising awareness and action that is ratifying and advocating for All.

iv. dream big, large, humongous!! 💭

nothing is impossible in faezi's garden. it is safe to reach for the stars here, no matter how ridiculous it sounds. we must believe in the impossible and always strive for greatness. sometimes, we are asked to 'play the game' and operate under recommended and safe standards ... but to be a part of faezi's magic is to learn how to bend some rules into suggestions. ;-) trust that the ceilings above you are there to be shattered, like the shooting star you are.

v. and most of all ... embody LOVE 💗

love is the highest vibration of all, big and bubbly and hopeful and sweet and compassionate. unconditional love is the rock-hard foundation of faezi. when we live a life that is motivated by love, we are operating at a frequency that is unmovable, steady, confident, and calm. love isn’t jittery, unbalanced, confusing … love is safe, secure, kind, and empowered. treat others as you’d like to be treated. love is not only your favorite blanket, or a scent that brings you back to a softer time. it’s also hard conversations, accountability, and healthy boundaries. love is respecting yourself and your limits, giving hard answers in order to honor your sweet and lovable soul. love is not sharp, but love is firm, a steady hand directing you towards a more empowered life.
